The Israeli war with Iran wages onward, even though no official declaration from either country has yet to be issued or even a single bullet officially fired from the army of one of the states at the other’s military.
The most recent event accentuating the war came today as Israeli Navy Seals commandeered a boat bound for Syria and carrying massive amounts of munitions that would likely wind up in the hands of Hezbollah. The seized weapons shipment included 107-millimeter rockets, 60-millimeter mortars, 7.62-rifle Kalashnikov-ammunition, F-1 grenades and 122-millimeter Katyusha rockets.
To provide the context for the world on the seizure, the Israeli military released this video of the ship’s contents:
Ynet reported that a military source said:
“There is no doubt that a little pat on the back in is order after this kind of coup, but that’s about it… Iran will continue to play a major role in arms smuggling and we have to keep being one step ahead of them.”
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu used the incident to urge world leaders to pressure Iran into ending its nuclear program and cease supporting terror. Netanyahu said:
“Those who needed further proof that Iran is continuing to supply weapons to terror organizations got it today.”
Israeli officials have long contended that Iran supplies terrorists, including Hezbollah, with munitions. Thus, Iran uses Hezbollah as a puppet for a defacto war on Israel.
